Acupuncture and Pregnancy
At Taupo Acupuncture Centre we specialise in treating all conditions before during and after pregnancy.
The use of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Gynaecology and Obstetrics has a history dating back to the Shang dynasty (1500-1000BC).
One of Acupunctures strongest and most rapidly growing areas is in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, considerable research has been done in the treatment of infertility, miscarriage and midwifery.
Optimal health before, during and after pregnancy is of the utmost importance as the health of the mother will have a profound affect on the health of the child.
Acupuncture is a safe natural alternative to the treatment of problems common before during and after pregnancy. As well as treatment, lifestyle and dietary advice may be included.
Many changes occur during pregnancy and often imbalances in the mother which were hardly noticeable prior to being pregnant will become more pronounced and may lead to possible problems either during or in the post-natal period. These imbalances can be regulated and harmonised drug free and naturally with Acupuncture.
