Acupuncture will make you look and feel younger

Stress

Undoubtedly one of the most common complaints today and is a contributing factor to many chronic and serious conditions, such as insomnia, heart disease, hypertension,  diabetes and cancer, asthma, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcers, ulcerative colitis and migraine headaches, among many others.

Stress is with us all the time, it comes from mental or emotional activity, as well as physical activity.

Stress is our bodies natural mechanism to deal with situations which require more physical or mental ability.

During a stressful situation, the brain signals the release of stress hormones, these chemical substances trigger a series of responses that gives the body extra energy, blood-sugar levels rise, the heartbeat speeds up and blood pressure increases, the muscles tense for action, the blood supply is diverted away from the gut to the extremities to help the body deal with the situation at hand. All these responses are usefull to help us get though a "stressfull" situation, however long term stress leads to the previously mentioned problems.

How Acupuncture Helps Stress

Acupuncture is also well known for its ability to control stress levels and to treat the negative effects that stress has on your health.

Acupuncture helps to regulate and control stress molecules including the most commonly known epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine and corticosteroids.

Every person deals with and reacts to stress differently so treatments will be tailored to suit each individuals situation and health condition, we will treat the underlying cause of the problem and not just the symptoms.
